Verridian has worked closely with Nokia and its key business partners in the UK for several years. In early 2009 Nokia approached Verridian to design a partner event that it was sponsoring. Data Select is one of the biggest mobile phone distributors in the country and a key Nokia partner in the UK. The company runs a members club for its best customers in the UK, known as the Platinum Club.

Nokia was asked to sponsor the 2009 event and approached Verridian to apply some of the techniques used in the various Nokia training events that it has been running for several years..

The AV and Events team at Verridian put together a large stage set event and ran 2 sessions. A morning session consisted of a number of presentations showing different customer incentives and detailed current handset information with their demographic profiles.

In the afternoon session attendees were broken into streams that specifically related to their area of business, each stream was shown the latest products and business packages that were being made available to them in the coming months.

For the evening entertainment Verridian compiled a quiz. This was made up of a mix of Nokia based questions and general knowledge. It was very well received and added a touch of fun and humour to the evening’s proceedings following a day of education.

Despite this being a relatively small project it wasn’t without its challenges. There were many changes that were made to the schedule and the Verridian team pulled the quiz together at very short notice.

The team went all out to make the event a great success; the general comments were that we had gone above and beyond the call of duty and created an event that exceeded all expectations. The clients were extremely happy!
